The building sits in the midst of a busy neighborhood filled with butchers and spice shops, but once you step inside the premises, you\u2019ll be immersed in an indulgent and unforgettable experience.\n\nYou can read about (or watch a couple of videos online) the building\u2019s restoration; when you\u2019re there it\u2019s worth taking the time to appreciate the architectural features like the marble carved sinks and stools, and carved muqarnas that adorn corners and entryways.\n\nThe staff guide you through the experience if it\u2019s your first time at a hamam. You are provided disposable underwear (and triangle top for the ladies, although it just gets disposed of later), rubber slippers, and a towel. You store your  items in a locker and carry a key on a wristband.\n\nYou\u2019ll spend time sitting on warm marble to open up your pores, then the natir (bath attendant) takes you through a washing and scrubbing process. If you elect for the foam massage, it incorporates a scrub down, firm massage (more firm than typical American massages), and some stretching.\n\nThere is an option to leave a cash tip for your attendant when you fill out the feedback form and their shop sells the same body care products if you\u2019re interested in bringing anything home.","rating":5,"time_description":"3 weeks ago"}]},"attached":false}
