Originally the ground floor functioned as a retail space while the upper floors were used as residences. Over the years, the building was repurposed for different functions. Since 2011 it has been occupied by Salt Beyo\u011flu. The ground, second and third floors are used for exhibitions. The Cinema\/theater  hosts talks, screenings, workshops, and performances. The Kitchen on the mezzanine and the Winter Garden on the fourth floor are reserved for programs focusing on food and ecology. There is also a bookstore here. The show spreads across several floors, blending memory, politics, and craftsmanship in such a striking way.\n\nThe first floor welcomes you with old songs, publications, and a glowing neon sign reading \u201cNeyleyim sessiz r\u00fcyay\u0131\u201d \u2014 a poetic start that sets the mood for everything that follows. Upstairs, rooms filled with vintage newspapers, headlines, and woven installations explore how stories are created, erased, and rewritten.\n\nThe weaving section, where colorful yarns twist and layer like living thoughts, was my favorite \u2014 an experience that felt both nostalgic and deeply human.\n\nIt\u2019s not just an exhibition; it\u2019s a conversation between past and present, sound and silence, language and thread.","rating":5,"time_description":"8 months ago"}]},"attached":false}
