I waited around 30 minutes in cold weather, which was physically uncomfortable and unnecessary given the stated priority access policy.\n\nSecurity screening felt excessive and poorly handled. I was asked to remove multiple items and pass through the gates twice. The tone was stern and unwelcoming, which made the arrival experience stressful rather than professional.\n\nInside, the exhibition spaces were overcrowded \u2014 particularly the Martin Parr exhibition (which was excellent and deserved better viewing conditions). It was difficult to move, stand comfortably, or properly engage with the works.\n\nThe second exhibition (a South African photographer) felt poorly contextualised and anxiety-inducing in its presentation. The museum bookshop also felt overly academic and uninspired compared to other photography institutions in Paris.\n\nOverall, the lack of accessibility accommodation, crowd management, and basic courtesy overshadowed the quality of the main exhibition. I left feeling tense rather than inspired.","rating":1,"time_description":"3 months ago"},{"author":"Sean Davey","text":"Excellent. Wonderful bookshop too. You can see an exhibition, stroll through the Tuileries Garden, snap some pics of chairs like K\u00e9rtesz and Frank before going to the Orangerie Museum and seeing the Water Lilies. Photography is such an ingrained part of French culture, it's just so nice to see. Quentin Bajac leads a great museum, a must visit if you like photography.
