I didn\u2019t expect much at first since admission to the permanent collection is free, while most others charge an entrance fee. But so glad I ended up spending the entire afternoon here.\n\nThe museum is spacious, with an impressive collection. Alongside lesser-known works by renowned artists like Matisse, Bonnard, Soutine, and Modigliani.\n\nThey also host temporary exhibitions that are worth visiting, and are surprisingly affordable. Come here to see two versions of the fabled La Danse by Matisse, the final version of which is located at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia. Also great artworks by Robert and Sonia Delaunay, the late Georg Baselitz, Louise Bourgeois, Kees van Dongen, Jean Arp, and others. I also enjoyed the temporary exhibition on Estonian artists, especially Anu Poder (1947-2013). The museum also has a great collection of Art Deco artworks. I totally loved the special exhibition on Lee Miller (1907-1977) which features great photographs from all her \"many lives\" to quote her son's biography of her. She is finally getting recognized as one of the greatest photographers of the 20th century.","rating":5,"time_description":"a month ago"}]},"attached":false}
