A special shoutout to the team at the rooftop bar\u2014they provided some of the best service we received during our stay and made every visit enjoyable.\n\nUnfortunately, despite everything the hotel does well, I cannot recommend staying here because of the bed and bedding.\n\nThe mattress was extremely firm, but that wasn\u2019t even the biggest issue. The sheets were incredibly rough against the skin and made a loud crinkling noise every time I moved. Even worse, the mattress protector appeared to contain some kind of plastic layer, creating a constant loud rustling sound with the slightest movement. I woke up repeatedly throughout the night because every time I rolled over, the bedding made enough noise to disturb my sleep.\n\nBy 2:00 a.m. on the second night, I was so desperate for a decent night\u2019s sleep that I removed the mattress protector myself. It helped somewhat, but the rough, noisy sheets were still uncomfortable enough to keep me awake.\n\nI genuinely cannot understand why an upscale hotel would choose bedding like this. It completely undermined what would have otherwise been an excellent stay. I\u2019ve slept in budget motels with quieter and more comfortable bedding.\n\nIt\u2019s a real shame because the hotel itself is beautiful, the location is excellent, and the staff are fantastic. But when you\u2019re paying for a luxury hotel, a good night\u2019s sleep is one of the most basic expectations. Until the bedding and mattress protectors are replaced, I wouldn\u2019t stay here again.","rating":2,"time_description":"3 weeks ago"},{"author":"Alifya Valiji","text":"Incredible location, I don\u2019t think there is a hotel that is in a better location than The Bank.\n\n- 11\/10 view from the rooftop bar\n- great rooms\n- very friendly service\n- a few minute walk to\u2026what felt like everywhere\n\nThe breakfast was so-so & not very traditionally Turkish, BUT the desserts at the rooftop bar make up for it. SO good. I would recommend this hotel to everyone traveling to Istanbul.\n\nIt was my brother\u2019s birthday and the staff without being asked brought out a cute cake at breakfast.
