Reversing my previous vow that I would not return I booked a room and took my nephew to visit New York.\nI understand the management has changed.  The staff, from the concierges to the front desk to the maid service made such a positive impression on us that I decided to share our experience.  The room was a 61st street view.  It was properly sized for two.  The room was immaculately clean with twin beds and a bathroom with a shower and a bath tub.  The air conditioning was very good and adjustable in the room.\nThe staff was outgoing and pleasant - eager to greet, engage in conversation and assist with guest needs.  Leonardo, our concierge, arranged all our restaurant reservations and was easy to reach via telephone.\nThe hotel is a classic Manhattan structure - high ceilings in the rooms and elegant throughout.  I will definitely be back.\nI will admit the hotel does cost a bit more; but, it is truly a five star hotel.","rating":5,"time_description":"2 months ago"},{"author":"Lindsey Fitzpatrick","text":"My husband and I stayed here for 5 days and it was a spectacular experience. The service is just impeccable at this hotel. Not only is there room service twice a day but there is live jazz every night at the lounge which serves wonderful cocktails. Maurice was incredibly helpful by booking us a dinner reservation and couldn\u2019t have suggested a better restaurant. Paul, our bar tender, offered a tasting of some tequila that started our whole visit off with a bang. We will be returning and can\u2019t wait until next time.
