Reversing my previous vow that I would not return I booked a room and took my nephew to visit New York.\nI understand the management has changed.  The staff, from the concierges to the front desk to the maid service made such a positive impression on us that I decided to share our experience.  The room was a 61st street view.  It was properly sized for two.  The room was immaculately clean with twin beds and a bathroom with a shower and a bath tub.  The air conditioning was very good and adjustable in the room.\nThe staff was outgoing and pleasant - eager to greet, engage in conversation and assist with guest needs.  Leonardo, our concierge, arranged all our restaurant reservations and was easy to reach via telephone.\nThe hotel is a classic Manhattan structure - high ceilings in the rooms and elegant throughout. The atmosphere was incredibly tranquil and effortlessly exclusive\u2014it truly made me feel as though I was a private resident of the hotel rather than just a diner.\nThe service was warm, highly attentive, and incredibly accommodating. I left my drink orders entirely in the hands of the staff, asking them to surprise me, and they delivered an exceptional series of expertly crafted cocktails. Furthermore, while New York is famously celebrated for its corner street slices, I decided to try the pizza here. It was a beautifully refined, delicious take that completely won me over.
