We didn\u2019t stay at the hotel, so no comment for the rooms. Hemingway, Picasso, Cocteau visited the hotel, which has a charm about the place. Elegantly decorated with items of furniture from a bygone era. We had a cocktail, served with salty almonds, in the reception area. Service was excellent, the young lady on the desk, was knowledgeable, helpful and happy to offer advice.\nWe ate in front of the hotel in the tree shaded square. La cafe La nuit, which Van Gogh famously painted is in the square. We ordered tuna and tagliatelle and beef tartare served with potatoes. The food was fresh and delicious. For desert we selected the ricotta filled cannoli, flavoured with orange & star anises. The wine was good. Our waitress was very friendly. Highly recommend. She treated my in-laws with such warmth and care, going above and beyond to make sure they felt welcomed and supported throughout their stay. She even arranged flowers and thoughtfully handled every request with patience and genuine kindness.\n\nIt was truly the best service I\u2019ve experienced in a hotel in ages.
