The bathroom toiletries were all top notch.\n\n2) The service was fitting for a 5 star hotel. Our room was not ready when we arrived and we were immediately and appropriately given vouchers to the bar.\n\n3) I don\u2019t know when I\u2019ll return to NYC. While I like to try new hotels while traveling, it will be very tempting to return here.","rating":5,"time_description":"3 months ago"},{"author":"Lorna Flynn","text":"We stayed in \"The Chelsea\" type of room for five nights in July facing south on the fifth floor. It had a large bathroom with a deep soaking tub and an overhead rain shower, and a lovely walk-through dressing area with built-in shelves, drawers and a wardrobe. I loved the furnishings - enough personality, but not too much. The renovation has retained character and charm fitting of its illustrious history but updated with top-notch fittings and finishes worthy of a world-class five star hotel. The king bed was a joy to sleep in; comfortable mattress and luxurious linens. The room was big enough to not feel cooped up in and to enjoy spending time in. I used the sauna and rooftop terrace and had a very warm welcome from the spa staff despite not having a spa treatment. Everyone working here was a delight to deal with. We had drinks in the expansive bar twice during our stay and dinner in the busy cafe one evening. It's an expensive place to drink and dine ($32 cocktails, $34 Cheeseburger) but the setting is a real NY experience. There is unique art on every common wall, you could wander the corridors like you would a gallery. I didn't want to leave - I felt right at home. It's such a terrific location too, so  I hope I'll stay here again and again when I visit NYC.","rating":5,"time_description":"2 months ago"}]},"attached":false}
