The hotel is need of extensive renovations. The only luxurious thing about the rooms is the mattress - other than than every piece of furniture, room doors, walls, bathroom is chipped and over used (not quaint) - I should mention the thermostat doesn't work in all rooms and ours had a standing heater instead (enough said). The lobby is always busy and I'm not sure why because even that could use a spruce up. The staff were very helpful and friendly in person but getting through to a person on the phone is not easy at all. There is a coffee spot in the lobby, but no room service or amenities to really use at least in the winter. Unfortunately, when my father stayed there in August, it was a bad stay. In the first room he was assigned the toilet stopped up and was not able to be repaired. Then the second room was worn and dirty. Service, in general, is slow. Worst of all, one of the rooms had bed bugs and my dad was bitten up and ended up bringing the bed bugs back home. After an expensive stay, he has now spent hundreds of dollars to get rid of the bed bugs.\n\nWhen the hotel first opened, it was a charming addition to the neighborhood. It\u2019s now a tired, worn, and expensive hotel\u2014with bed bugs and careless attention to cleanliness. DO NOT STAY HERE.","rating":1,"time_description":"5 months ago"}]},"attached":false}
