They even offered us access to the spa so we could refresh, as we were quite tired and ended up falling asleep there.\n\nWhat truly touched us was that the staff noticed this and proactively prepared our room early\u2014without us even asking and well before check-in time. We completely understood the standard policy, which made their gesture even more meaningful. Communication was effortless throughout my stay, as the team spoke excellent English, so there were absolutely no language barriers or misunderstandings.\n\nThe suite itself beautifully reflected the hotel\u2019s rich heritage. It was spacious, classic in style, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. While many luxury hotels focus on contemporary design, Fairmont Peace offers something increasingly rare\u2014a sense of history, character, and timeless elegance. Staying in a suite for four nights allowed me to fully appreciate the atmosphere and unique charm of this iconic property.\n\nA special mention goes to the Fairmont Gold Lounge, which was undoubtedly the highlight of my stay. The afternoon tea and snacks were excellent, with a generous selection of sweet and savory offerings served in an elegant and relaxing setting. It quickly became one of my favorite places in the hotel to unwind after exploring Shanghai.\n\nThe location is another major advantage. Situated at the beginning of the Bund, the hotel is perfectly positioned for sightseeing. Simply stepping outside the hotel, you are immediately greeted by the iconic views of the Bund and the stunning skyline of Pudong across the river. Whether during the day or at night, the scenery is spectacular and makes the experience even more special.\n\nThe only minor drawback was the swimming pool, which felt a bit small compared to what you might expect from a luxury hotel of this stature.
