There were six of us, and we were given a lovely round table where it was comfortable to sit and talk. The restaurant was full, yet the hostess greeted us with a smile and kindly showed us to our table, even though two of our friends were running late. That was especially nice, knowing how strict New York restaurants usually are about seating incomplete parties.\n\nEach of us ordered something different, and everyone was happy with their choice. I had an omelet with Gruy\u00e8re \u2014 soft, delicate, and absolutely delicious. It came with perfectly roasted potatoes, cooked in a special way that made them extra flavorful. My friends had salmon Benedicts, Norwegian eggs, and croque-madame \u2014 everything was excellent.\n\nWe especially remember the French toast with strawberries and cream \u2014 heavenly! And for dessert, we shared profiteroles with ice cream, which were out of this world.\n\nThe staff kept refilling our coffee and making sure our glasses were never empty. The atmosphere was lively and cheerful, full of people and energy. The servers were great and very attentive. Expect a wait during busy times even with a reservation.\nThe food was nice and was served quickly.\nThe toilets had some fun decorations in them.\nThe booths made the restaurant seem quite private even when the whole restaurant was full.
