Upon entering, time seems to slow down and the hustle and bustle and the busyness of the medina and souk seems to fade away, replaced by a sense of calm and serenity.\n\nWe ordered the Madfouna Tafilalet often referred to as the Berber Pizza, along with Shakshuka for the kiddo and the Fes Meknes menu set which includes Qedra which is slow-cooked beef prepared in a Tajine with almonds, onions and fragrant safron and cinnamon paired with a tall glass of nine herb tea. We also ordered a teapot of Draa Tea, tea that is infused with rose petals. Both teas were beautifully made, capturing the depth and richness of classic Moroccan tea traditions. The Qedra was hearty and satisfying and delivered deep, layered flavors, with melt-in-the-mouth meat and a beautifully spiced sauce that spoke of traditional Moroccan cooking. The Madfouna, featuring fluffy bread encasing a flavorful filling of well-seasoned meat, was truly a comforting Moroccan specialty.\n\nIt was one of the best tea experiences we\u2019ve had in Morocco, and in our lives. We were truly grateful to our waiter for the thoughtful and attentive service. The entire staff was exceptionally hospitable, making the experience even more memorable. Enjoyed our food and even bought a souvenir tea pot to use at home. Staff were really kind. Only bummer is that they allow reservations until 18:45 but close at 19:00 and we\u2019re trying to get us out and rushing with the bill by 19:10. I was still eating and even wanted to get more but it was a hard stop on the kitchen.","rating":5,"time_description":"a month ago"}]},"attached":false}
