miart Milan

miart is Italy's leading international modern and contemporary art fair, held each spring at Fieramilanocity. Timed to coincide with Milan Design Week and the Salone del Mobile, it transforms Milan into the world's single most concentrated encounter between art, design, fashion, and architecture — a uniquely Italian cultural proposition.

Unknown City

Founded in 1994, miart presents a curated selection of international and Italian galleries across three sections: Now (contemporary art), Decades (works from the 1900s to 1980s), and Emergent (younger galleries). The fair's intimate scale and curatorial quality distinguish it from larger commercial events.

Milan in April is extraordinary. The city's entire creative infrastructure — studios, showrooms, restaurants, and museums — opens for Design Week, making the miart/Salone combination one of the richest weeks on the global cultural calendar. Every corner of the city becomes an exhibition.

City Guides

Milan is one of Europe's great art cities. The Pinacoteca di Brera, the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, and the Museo del Novecento offer exceptional permanent collections. Leonardo's Last Supper at Santa Maria delle Grazie requires advance booking. The emerging Fondazione Prada and Pirelli HangarBicocca offer world-class contemporary programming.
